Renaissance

I had the opportunity to photograph a wonderful wedding recently at the Los Prados country club in North Las Vegas. The couple was Rafal and Diana Dziedziniewicz. They are a fun couple and definitely had a fun and non-traditional wedding. Rafal came to the US with his family from Poland in 1982, and Diana is hometown girl born right here in Las Vegas. They met during Diana's first day at as a journalist intern for "City Life" newspaper. They flirted for several moths before actually starting to date and have been together since February 2002.
The ceremony was wonderful. The wedding party was dressed up in Renaissance clothing and the colors were Red and Black. Even the cake showed their fun loving sprit with a casually dressed bride and groom on top. Their first dance was a choreographed number to the Cult's "love Story". The wedding went very well and amazingly was dead on time the whole night. It was a great time and I thank them for the opportunity to record their memories of the day.

Merritt Family

Last weekend I had the opportunity to photograph the Merritt family at a local park. Unfortunately we got there a little late in the morning and it was already getting to hot for the children to tolerate. We were still able to get some nice photos and are going to go back and do more in a couple weeks. Angela and Mike are great people and the children were troopers considering the heat we were subjecting them too. Angela met Mike in New Mexico where he was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. Angela was Mike's insurance agent, which apparently he had a great need for, and fell for him the first time he came in her office. They were married in April of 2003 and couldn't be happier. I photograph a lot of couples starting their lives together it was really nice to see one that has been together for a while and that the love was a strong as ever. They are a great family and I can't wait to work with them again. Hopefully in a little more temperate conditions this time. I will let you know how it goes.

A second time

Well I was lucky enough recently to Photograph Alvin and Alisia Johnson as they renewed their vows at Nellis Air Force Base's Chapel. Alisia and Alvin met in San Antonio Texas back in 2002 on of all things a blind date. Who says they don't workout. They were originally married in 2003. They are a very fun and wonderful couple and I wish them all the best.
